Consoles and Playhouses

Friday, May 2nd, 2008

With summer fast approaching it is wise to start thinking about what you want your children to spend their time doing in their school holidays.. They can seem to go on forever and once the boredom sets in its very hard to stop the moaning and tantrams. Unfortunatley we cannot send our kids off to the park on their own like we used to do when we were kids, its not a safe world anymore.

But this doesn’t mean we have to make do with plonking them in front of a dvd or play station game. A lot of parents are turning to a new idea for keeping their kids happy, occupied and allowing them to play and get lots of fresh air and exercise.

A lot of parents are now turning and area of their back gardens into an area for their kids to play in. They buy play equipment and turn it into a mini park yet it is a lot safer and you can still keep a watchful eye over them if you feel the need. Some popular equipment includes slides, swings, sand pits, climbing frames etc.

These are all great fun but there’s only so long they are going to keep your child occupied for before you get them at the back door whining they are bored. But there is one bit of equipment that stands out from the rest in value for money, usage ability and fun factor. This bit of kit is a wooden play house. Wooden playhouses can offer hours upon hours of fun and games to your child while still allowing them to get plenty of exercise and fresh air.

A play house can be put up almost anywhere and painted or decorated to your childs preferences and they also look a lot nicer in the back garden than a lot of other bits of equipment. With very little time and money each year a wooden play house can be cared for and will last for many years which offers exceptional value for money.

As your childrens interest change so can the play house with a bit of paint and some new curtains at the windows the play house can be made into a den, cave, wendy house or whatever takes your childs fancy. Add in some childrens furniture and a rug and you have a brilliant little home away from home where your child can play with friends, have little tea parties or just play quietly on their own with their toys, meaning the house won’t be so cluttered.

Children Are Hard To Please

Friday, May 2nd, 2008

Children these days are getting harder and harder to please and occupy, it seems the longer they spend on computers and in front of the telly the worse their concentration becomes and the harder it is as a parent to find ways of keeping them occupied.

Its very important that our kids get lots of fresh air and exercise but they don’t always enjoy us telling them this, which is why its good to find a way of getting them fresh air and exercise without them realising it. In this day and age we cant just send them off to the park as nowhere seems safe anymore. So what are we to do? Its too expensive to take them out all the time on day trips and anyway they don’t always want to play with mum and dad.

One popular method of keeping children occupied and having fun is to create a little ‘play area’ in your own back garden. This could include things such as paddling pool, swing, slide, sand pit but one piece of equipment stands out as clear favourite amongst children and that’s a wooden play house.

Wooden playhouses offer safe, secure, cost effective and fun ways of keeping our children occupied and happy. A play house can be a dragons lair, secret cave, castle, wendy house or dungeon. It can really open up the world of imagination for the child and can be a place where they can have hours of fun in the fresh air with a friend and getting exercise while still being in the safety of the back garden and can still be under the watchful eye of mum and dad if needed.

With play houses coming in many shapes and forms its not suprising they are becoming so popular. They take hardly and looking after and can last for years and years making them cost effective and a great investment as they sell on very well too. Wooden play houses can often improve the look of the garden and as they are wood they can be easy on the eye and fit in to the surroundings easily unlike metal climbing frames or big slides.

The best piece of play equipment you could look at getting is a wooden play house.

These are very cost effective and can last many many years without to much care and attention. They are more appealing to the eye than metal climbing frames and slides and arfe very versatile in the fact that as your childs interests change, so can the decoration in the play house. Play houses can be painted easily and curtains put up at the windows with their favourite characters on, small pieces of furniture can be added to make it their own little home away from home. Playhouses can come in loads of different shapes so it doesn’t matter what type of back garden you have, large or small, square or oval, theres going to be a play house to suite it.

They can also come in many different designs and sizes or just plain so you can design your own decorations on the inside and out making it pride of place and a real feature in the back garden without being ugly and over bearing. Your child will grow and develop its life skills much better with a little freedom and somewhere they can call there own such as a play house and they are ideal in the back garden as parents can still keep a watchful eye over them with piece of mind that they are safe away from strangers and harm.

Outdoor Toys and Attention Spans

Friday, May 2nd, 2008

It’s very hard in this day and age to keep our kids occupied. They seem to have much lower attention spans than when we were young and certainly wouldn’t cope with the toys we used to love playing with. We all want our kids to enjoys themselves and most of all we want then to be safe but while getting fresh air and exercise which is very important for their health and development.

With us living in not such safe times and kids not being safe going to the parks on their own anymore, it is getting increasingly harder to entertain our kids at weekends let alone during school holidays. But there is one way that parents are turning to which is very cost effective, great fun for the kids and gives them a safe and secure environment for them and their friends to play in.

Well what is the secret I hear you say! Its simple and every kids would love to have one….wooden play houses.  Wooden play houses are fantastic, not just for the kids but for the parents. They allow your kids to get lots of fresh air, exercise and socialise with their mates while developing their minds while they pretend their play house is a castle, lair, cave or wendy house. All these are very important during a childs childhood in order for them to develop all their life skills.

Wooden play houses come in all sorts of shapes allowing you to buy one that suites your garden and needs. They also come in many different sizes to suite your childs needs and age. A wooden playhouse can be the spare room you’ve always wanted for your kids toys, or a special place for your child to be alone and play without worrying about being noisy or making a mess. Wood playhouses can also be a great place for your child to invite a friend to for tea or have a small birthday party in.

A childs favourite colour or even cartoon or tv program. And as they are made of top quality wood they last for many years with very little care or time spent looking after them, they can also be moved easily and have very good sell on values for when your children grow up or can be kept ready for the grandchildren.

It can be hard to decide or even know which wooden play house is the best to go for, you need to have a think about your childs needs and what they will use it for such as toy room or secret den. You also have to take into consideration the amount of space you have in your back garden and where is best to put it.

Outdoor Toys

Friday, May 2nd, 2008

In order for our children to grow and develop well it is important that part of their play time is out doors in the fresh air. It is also very important that they are allowed to use4 their imagination while they play, whatever age they may be, from toddler up to adolescents, they need to use their imagination to develop important skills for later life.

Children have lots of energy and exercise is very important, combining exercise with play time is perfect. Wooden Climbing frames for example would be a fantastic piece of play equipment to have the back garden for your kids to use. They come in many shapes and sizes and can be made from metal or wood normally. They can have ladder attachments, swings, stairs, and rope swings included to add to the fun.

Climbing frames provide children with a fun, entertaining and challenging exercise session and can improve strength, flexibility, imagination and co ordination. They are normally very simple to put together and are very safe and will last for years with very little care and attention. They are sturdy, strong and can be added to easily, some parents even erect them in a big sand pit for extra safety. And due to the fact they can be made bigger and have accessories added with ease, they make ideal play time equipment for all ages and can give your child hours of fun as they grow.

Another great and very popular idea is wooden playhouses. The come in many shapes and sizes and fantastic designs. They can be made into a secret cave, kings castle, Wendy house, den or just kept as a miniature house for toys. Whatever the child is interested in can be the theme for the wooden playhouse and can easily be changed as interests change. They are very easy to look after and can last for years with minimal effort.

Wooden playhouses can be a place for your child to escape to for fun with out being naggedv but at the same time where you parents can still keep an eye on them knowing they are exercising and using their imaginations while being totally safe.

Another good piece of equipment that a child would love is a trampoline, these also provide fantastic exercise while being so much fun the child wont even know they are getting fit and strong. Trampolines also come in many shapes and sizes. They can be dug into the ground so they are at ground level meaning your child is safe from falling off or a safety net is easily attached for extra safety and piece of mind. Trampolines can also last for many years due to their robust structure and can cope with any weather condition, even more so when a protective cover is put on them for extra weather protection.

To ensure that your kids get regular, consistent, fun, entertaining exercise all the time then it is best to purchase play equipment to go in your own back garden. This will mean your child gets there daily dose of fresh air, exercise and fun while being near enough to keep an eye on to ensure they stay safe and away from harm.

Fresh Air Fun

Friday, May 2nd, 2008

With kids getting less and less active these days it is vital that parents instil in them from an early age a habbit of getting plenty of fresh air and exercise without it feeling like a chore. Its getting more and more common for parents to use the easy option of plonking the kids in from of computers or dvds to keep them occupied but this isn’t just making them fat and lazy, it also stops them using their imaginations and is starting their lives getting into very unhealthy habbits.

Its fair to say though that keeping kids happy and occupied is very tough and it is hard to think of enough things for kids to do which allows them to get plenty of exercise, fresh air and still use their imagination to develop their important physical and mental skills in life.

A good way and one which is becoming increasingly popular amongst parents to keep children healthy, happy, and still developing key skills yet in a really fun way is to create a mini playground right there in their back gardens. Its not safe these days to let our kids go to the parks on their own so parents are now bringing the park to them, It is very easy to buy a swing, slide, sand pit etc and these will be great for kids to play with but unfortunately they have their draw backs, the main one being if its raining they cannot be used.

One piece of equipment that offer brilliant value for money and one which kids will love and be over the moon to have is a wooden play house. These are brilliant bits of kit and offer your kids hours upon hours of fun no matter what the weathers like. They are safe, easy to look after and can be the spare room your house doesn’t have where toys can be stored meaning less mess in the house and your kids own little getaway from everything and have a good play either on their own or with friends.

Wooden playhouses are very versatile and can be paints or decorated to meet your childs interests making it even more appealing to them. Buying your kid a wooden play house means they will get exercise, fresh air, lots of play in a safe and secure environment all while being under the watchful eye of mum and dad if necessary.

There are many different types of play house and they come in different shapes and sizes and with different themes. For more information on play houses and to have a look at photos of different types on the market, go and visit www.idealwoodenplayhouses.com this site allows you to browse around to see which type suites your needs, your childs needs and your back garden!
